Sindh a pioneer in introducing Special Economic Zone in Pakistan. The first three SEZ under SEZ Act 2012 have been established by the Government of Sindh.

The Government of Sindh is embarking Special Economic Zones as the key growth driver for contributing significantly to growth in FDI, exports, and employment as well as playing a catalytic role in integration to global trade and structural transformation including, industrialization and upgrading.

Special Economic Zone can be characterized as a geographically delineated area subject to differentiated regulation and administration from the host country in which it resides, for the purpose of attracting foreign direct investment in economic activity that could not otherwise be achieved.

SEZMC has been established under Section F 10/2 of SEZ Act 2012 as provisional SEZ Entity by Government of Sindh to accelerate the industrialization agenda of the province. We act as a focal point of contact for prospective investors, both domestic and foreign, and provides a one-stop window to provide all necessary information and assistance regarding Special Economic Zones in Sindh

It is expected that this will trigger a large flow of foreign and domestic investment, develop industrial capabilities, promote industrial agglomeration, increase the value and the number of value-added exports and promote rapid beneficiation of the natural resources of the province through the development of the state-of-the-art infrastructure SEZs.
